Dr. Baitch specializes in general orthopaedics. He is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Baitch is an assistant professor, part-time emeritus, with the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at John Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is a former president of the Maryland Orthopaedic Society, as well as the Baltimore County Hospital (now the Northwest Hospital Center) Medical Staff.

Dr. Baitch has numerous memberships in professional societies and serves on the Boards of Trustees of Northwest Hospital Center and Lifebridge Health. He is affiliated with the following hospitals:

  • John Hopkins Hospital
  • Northwest Hospital Center
  • Carroll Hospital Center

He received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1954. Dr. Baitch's post-graduate work included an internship at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. He then served in the United States Air Force as a flight surgeon. He was an assistant resident in surgery at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore and spent three years as a resident in orthopaedic surgery at Philadelphia General.
